 I've created mdoc manual pages which merge info from previous manual pages
 and usage messages.
 These could replace the current manual pages of chicken.
 Mandoc tool can convert mdoc to man format easily. Release tarballs could
 contain manuals in man and mdoc format. Build process could then decide
 which format to copy.
