That looks suspiciously like the CPAN dreams you were having. That'd be cool.

So, I've been thinking about my relationship with Chicken.  I think I'll
be most happy writing FFIs to known libraries, and being a tool/library
writer.

I don't think I want to muck around in the chicken internals other than
to point out hastily written error messages or other features that
help me in debugging and writing my code. I really just want to be a
user/application writer with the core system instead of a developer of it.

Of course, none of the above is set into stone, but it would be my
default position.
