[Chicken-users] need help to fix problem with "make bench"

Hi!

Several people reported problems with "make bench" (autotools
build, cscbench complains with error message aboout "car" on
running boyer).

Can someone reproduce this problem on a machine to which
I could get ssh access? Or is someone willing to go through
a remote-debugging-via-gdb-over-email-or-irc with me?
