You aren't acknowledging the realities of the market Chicken currently
addresses. Chicken is not ready to displace Visual Studio / Eclipse /
C# / Java / etc. Chicken currently reaches DIY open source developers
who want something "more advanced" than, say, Python. Within that
market segment, demonstrating that web maps are possible, if not
Frappr-level with the $,$$$,$$$ of commercial investment that implies,
is decidedly cool. Your statement is as if someone handed you
http://www.freeciv.org and you complained, "But why isn't it a AAA game
title??!?"
