Basically, because it doesn't scale and there are some way better ways
to navigate information.

We already have a wiki with 1700+ files (not Chicken's; Chicken's has
just around 170 right now) where this list would be way too big.

As for better ways to navigate, you can always use the search
functionality, navigate from the main page or navigate using tags (you
can start at http://chicken.wiki.br/xsvnwiki-tags/xsvnwiki-all, which
right now doesn't look very well, the CSS could still use some
tweaking).
