To paraphrase Calvin: "It is not denial. I'm just selective about the
SRFIs I accept".

In general, a split in the community need not be a bad thing. Some
Schemes are bigger than Common Lisp now, exactly because the Scheme
standard did not pile feature on feature. And time will show if the
people in favor of the new standard are actually the ones who improve
on the existing Schemes. If not, good riddance.


However, I fear that the SRFI process will be modeled to suit the new
standard.
