Sorry, I'm lost. I don't have a Windows machine to figure out
what has to be changed where. The -defaults.h/-config.h include files define
pathnames that are used in API calls (where "/" is ok) and in
shell invocations. In the latter, the slashes must be backwards,
if the commands invoked go through cmd.exe (and only then).
This never worked perfectly, and someone with a lot of time and
knowledge of chicken needs to test the whole stuff on all
possible configurations. A painful work.
