Thanks. Adding something like

#ifdef __MINGW64__
# define C_SIXTY_FOUR
#endif

in chicken.h (around line 70 or so) generated in lots of errors from
the compiler, but I have no experience with the 64-bit variant of
mingw. Perhaps you can give it a try?
