The texinfo manual is actually pretty nice and clear.

Just read sections 1.6 "@-commands" till 1.11 "A Short Sample Texinfo
File". That is really all you ever need.

Just provide a patch with what you want to say and someone will clean it
up if anything is wrong with it. But with texinfo there is not much that
can really go wrong.
