Lets make it clear that as far as I know none of us (Classpath 
developers) want the AWT classes to be GPLed. This is being dictated to 
us by RMS. I think it sets a dangerous precident that the FSF wants to 
change the license on code which was previously contributed on the 
understanding that it would be usable in a free Java replacement.

Exactly. If the AWT classes are going to be GPLed then we must remove 
them from classpath.
