Yes, that's right - I think they sold off the assets to various parties,
I really don't know who.

I think it's best to assume that the code that was written after the GPL
release is, for all intensive purposes, lost.  There wasn't that much
though, mostly just the port to the standard JDK.

I took a peek, and the 1.0 release does use the native tidy library.  I
think they originally used JTidy, but then stuck in the native tidy
library for speed.  I could probably fish the old JTidy stuff out of my
backup of the CVS repository (which was public up until the 1.0 release)
if anybody wants it.
