Hi guys,
A week ago I experimented with jedit on an up-to-date Fedora Core 4 box (I used the included java instruments - the included GNU classpath and gij)
The development version 4.3pre2 did not want to start at all,
while 4.2 started with way too many warnings for AWT things and way too many artifacts in repainting things - most of the widgets showed only briefly when the mouse cursor was on top of them. My friend with a Debian unstable - with up-to-date classpath (0.18) and gij did not manage to start jedit at all.
Are Swing-hackers experimenting with jedit?
It is a nice app with many layouts and widgets and it may be a nice test case.
Plus - I am using it and hoped I could use it under entirely free java. ;-)

Best regards:
