Hi,

I'm wondering why truncate requires a "mandatory option" (-r or -s) to work.

Usually, options modify a default behavior and mandatory informations are provided as arguments.

Since I'm almost always using truncate to empty files, I suggest the default behavior of truncate to
be "shrink the size to 0" (i.e. truncate -s 0)
