the bot does not get the HAVE_OP_KEY via the start_new_extprog funktion in 
main.c

otherwise the bot becomes disconnected on sending an 'invalid IP' in search 
queries...

...otherwise why don't you use an userlist entry for the Bot ? - this would 
make it much easier to give bots different privileges...

I have used TYPE_b_PRIV instead of the list of flags.

What do you mean by "using an userlist entry" ? The bot is technically a normal 
user. The only difference is it does not perform the handshake and thus is 
immediatly connected.

Type_b_PRIV is even better ;)

I just ment using an entry from the user.db for the Bot state...
with registering the Bot you can also set different privileges for different 
extprogs
