ddd can't start PYDB

From: Chris Arai
Subject: ddd can't start PYDB

Hello,

I have been trying to get ddd to work with pydb without success. When I
start with any of the following I get "PYDB could not be started" :

ddd --pydb myfile.py
ddd myfile.py
ddd /usr/bin/pydb #Where I copied the pydb.py

I can start with ddd --perl, but ddd --jdb hangs (I don't think jdb is
on my system.)

I am running RH 5.2 with both python1.52 and python1.6

Any Hints??

I'm not on the list, so please reply directly.

Thanks,

Chris

Hi all, I just installed ddd-3.2.1 in my private user directory. Upon
starting it, I get the error:

gdb: warning: cannot set file to non-blocking mode: Resource temporarily
unavailable
gdb: waning: cannot restore file mode: Resource temporarily unavailable

Then I start debugging an executable and discover that any break point
I set doesn't show up! They are however functional and I believe it's
a display problem related to the above error message. Can anyone help?

thanks!

-Chen
