Agreed. But-you-can-do-all-of-this-in-Motif-too, say, with lines like
Ddd*translations: \
#override \
<Key>F11: gdb-command(run a b c)\n\
<Key>F12: gdb-command(run d e f)\n
in your ~/.ddd/init file (or any other place where X resources are kept)
Anything else? You know, Motif may be uncool, but it's pretty powerful :-)
