Compiling the DDD 3.3.1 on a Intel based SCO 5.0.6 platform

I have a compiled and linked the latest verison of DDD (3.3.1) on a SCO Unix
5.0.6 platform using the gcc compiler version 2.95.2 everything works fine
during the configure and make but when I run the program I get an error msg
saying

[tcsetpgrp failed in terminal_inferior: Invalid argumnet]

What doed that mean ?
