What is required to run gdb on solaris ??? |

Hi,
I have a slight problem. When trying to debug a program I get the
message:
Warning: unable to find dynamic linker breakpoint function
Warning: GDB will be unable to debug shared library initilizers
Warning: and track explicitly loaded dynamic code.
Cannot insert breakpoint 1
Cannot access memory at address XXXXXXX
For me, this seems to indicate problems with the linker.
Funny is now, that my colleagues CAN use gdb with this program
on my machine, just su'd.
I had a look at the environment and added something to my
LD_LIBRARY_PATH but it doesn't help.
So where can I look further. Is it a problem with the linker and
which one to take? (gnu or solaris, path?, rights?)
It's a sparc solaris2.5.1 machine, gdb 4.16
Hope someone can help
Regards
Jens
