Need Help: ddd is sleeping after startup

We have made a OS update on out sun workstation
to solaris 8.
Now my ddd (V3.3) sleeps after start-up. The DDD main 
windows comes up, but afterwards the mouse cursor
shows sleep.

Does anybody knows the reason?
