RE: Problem compiling latest DDD under latest cygwin (try 2)

Very good. I hope you'll enjoy your Cygwin version of DDD.

Note that if you want to play with the plotting abilities you'll need to
install gnuplot as well.

DDD uses gnuplot as an external program, but the error you'll get if gnuplot
is missing is somewhat obscure.

Gnuplot is to my knowledge not incorporated into the Cygwin feed, but to
install it is very straight-forward. Just download the sources from:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/gnuplot/

Then:
$XYZ/configure; make; make install

I installed DDD for Cygwin myself just a week ago and so far it seems to
work excellent. The only exception is when cross-debugging on a remote
target using the recommended method in the DDD manual - but with the slight
exception of using ssh instead of rsh. (However, tweaking DDD to cross-debug
with a remote *gdbserver* runs without problems.)

So far I haven't figured out if this is a Cygwin-DDD specific problem or
not.

I'll post a different note regarding this issue as soon as I've figured out
if and how to replicate the problem.
