init.c: No such file or directory

Hello,

  I hope you choose to answer this question because it has been asked countless times on the web with no answers.  A google search of ddd init.c produces 596 hits.

 

When start up ddd by “ddd executable” I get the following error : “init.c:  No such file or directory”.  However for other executables I do not get this error.  I’m definitely compiling with –g on all executables.  I downloaded/built 3.3.9 and got the same results.  Do you know why I’m getting this error?
