DDD 3.3.12 (i386-apple-darwin16.3.0) gets Xt error

Just installed ddd via brew on macOS 10.12.6 and got immediate crash on first run. Full session ($ in bold is shell prompt):

$ ddd

-bash: ddd: command not found

$ brew install ddd
