I've got a few basic admin questions (I'm running debian testing):
- Is there some more sf admin documentation floating around anywhere?
I've read Morin's Installation guide, but wondered if there was
anything more current, or something that I'm missing (Where's the
fine manual that I should be looking at). I've looked at some of the
docs on the sourceforge.net site as well. Do I just need to start
reading through code to figure out how things work and how they
should be configured?
- Thanks for the DNS answers. Can people say how they are running
sourceforge boxes behind firewalls and talking to their ISP?
Do you usually put the box outside the firewall, open up ports
through the firewall, run a primary dns server on your box with
the secondary one then from the ISP, give the bind9 aliases with
regular expressions to the ISP, ...??? I'm just trying to
find out what people usually do.
- I had a problem trying to get access to the users' and projects'
chroot directories (via scp to update the htdocs for instance).
I ended up putting symlinks from the normal /home to the chroot
groups and users directories under sourceforge. Is this the
right thing to do, or did I mess up some other configuration?
Thanks.
...Mike
