[Denemo-devel] Is there away to delete a slur?

I am sorry if this may seem stupid.
I put a begin slur on a note and later decided that I wanted to delete  
it. I tried right clicking and selecting delete directive thinking it  
was going to remove it from the lilypond code. It did not. is there  
some other command that deletes it or am I confused?
