Restructured text is a markup language like docbook except it is
designed to be human readable/writable in source form. It looks like
this: [[http://docutils.sourceforge.net/docs/user/rst/quickstart.txt]].
It can be used generate docbook which can in turn be used to generate
the manual.

Or removed entirely. Maybe documentation in the repository should be
reduced to a small README file plus the manual?

Let me come up with a good way to do the conversion, and then I'll ask
you for your version.
By the way, for some reason it's taking almost a week for my emails to
reach the list. Any idea why?
