I have not made it past guile yet but I would try commenting out
(python uses # IIRC) :


 patches = [
        'denemo-srcdir-make.patch',
        'denemo-relocate.patch'
        ]


and

patches = Denemo.patches + [
        'denemo-mingw.patch',
        'denemo-prefops-mingw.patch',
        'denemo-relocate-mingw.patch',
        ]


This is in the file gub/specs/denemo.py
