This is intriguing - the problem seems to be caused by the d-ToggleEdit
commands.
These are probably a bad idea (at the moment, I don't think there is any
command to find out what the mode is, so you don't actually know what you are
toggling into).
However, it would be interesting to know what is going on...
For serious scheme programming use non-modal commands which always do (I
hope!) precisely one thing. IIRC these are d-InsertA, d-ChangeToA, for the
note A, and d-Insert2, d-Change2 for the duration quarter-note, etc
