Follow-up Comment #1, bug #28047 (project denemo):
This has reached a tipping point. So much time has been used trying to fix
this paste code.
I have introduced a new approach to paste. Now in git.
Once we have a good set of scripts I will declare the built-in obsolete and
close this bug.
