Sorry, I hadn't looked into the Simple profile - it doesn't include all

So for templates you would need to use/create a different profile.

Use/create a profile?
I haven't seen that anywhere yet.
I'm not likely to use any templates other than custom ones, and even those only once in a while.
It's mainly lead-sheets I want.
Getting to the templates I can do via the Example and go up a directory, for now anyway.

You
can re-enable the missing items from the command manager (where you set
that ctrl-k shortcut) and then save as your default command set, or you
can start from a more ambitious set of commands - after deciding what
sort of input style you would like to use.

I made CTRL-k after setting "allow quick short cut edits" and then, with mouse on "edit chord symbols" hit CTRL-k.
I also notice that this setting is gone when restarting Denemo.
How to use those command set options in an advanced way is quite unclear to me, at this point.

Undo in that version is limited to undoing one deletion/insertion of a
note in the current staff. Proper undo is working in 0.8.23 and will be
released in about a month, probably as 0.9.0.

That's good news :-)
Especially as a beginner I'm bound to make many mistakes; CTRL-z for more undo's than just last note would be helpful.
