Details:

When creating any new piece of music, the initial instrument has an extremely
high pitch, as though you were listening to a tape of music where the tape
machine was going way too fast.  I think that if no instrument is specified,
it should default to a "Piano".  Another bug, related to this one, is that
when the instrument is changed, no sound comes out, and the play button
becomes a "Pause" button.  Also, when trying to change the instrument by using
"Staff Properties" the first menu appearance contains a copy of the score and
not a list of instruments.  Clicking again results in a list of instruments,
but no sound, as mentioned before.
