I seem to have confirmed, just now, that
Staffs/Voices -> Staff Properties -> Built-In Staff Properties
actually configures individual VOICES, in addition to individual staffs.
So, cosmetically/label-wise speaking, perhaps the menu items should be:
Staffs/Voices -> Staff/Voice Properties -> Built-In Staff/Voice
Properties
Because I was able to set a voice's MIDI transposition separate from the
primary staff it is attached to (and that's invoked by the Staff
Properties menu)
-----------------------------------------------------
But, beyond cosmetics, to more pressing need for functionality:
Can denemo create small staff portions of alternate parts ? Similar to
repeats, except tagged on below the main staff, on a visually separate
staff, perhaps slightly shrunk (to 80%), and perhaps with bar lines
connecting the primary and the alternative measures.
Or is that only lilypond level for now?
I was just thinking that the voice object could perhaps be used to
create this (if it doesn't exist), where you'd just specify which
measures should be printed (on the separate, smaller staff)... Or maybe
just an additional staff (rather than an additional voice) be more
appropriate, with the ability to specify which measures should be printed
(Hey, I'm not even sure to what extent lilypond can do this!)
thanks!
