I've never seen this. Where do you see "opt/bin"? How have you built
Denemo?
The default is to leave the Denemo preference (Edit->Change
Preferences->Externals) LilyPond path empty, in which case it expects to
launch LilyPond based on the value of the PATH environment variable
(IIRC). On GNU/Linux that is.

I saw /opt/bin in the Denemo preferences, as you write above.

No idea where it took /opt/bin

$ echo $PATH
/home/fede/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/local/games:/usr/games
$ which -a lilypond
/home/fede/bin/lilypond
/usr/local/bin/lilypond
/usr/bin/lilypond

I built denemo as usual.

Anyway, it occurred only on my desktop at work. Not on my laptop.

I would ignore this "issue"...
