I have tested this on a virgin (*) machine (windows 7 or 8) and see the
same thing. I can see why too - the denemo C code in main.c/utils.c is
assuming the fonts will be in  usr/share/denemo/fonts/ while the zip
file has them in usr/share/fonts

I can test this out later, for now I only have a Vista machine which is
not virgin, it has the bizarre property now that it *always* works, even
though I have removed the fonts from the Windows/Fonts directory (where
are installer puts them).

(*) by "virgin machine" I mean one which has never had the Denemo
installer run on it, so the fonts have never been installed.
