Follow-up Comment #1, bug #48206 (project denemo):

What you do is first enter any sort of barline, then right-click on the
barline and choose "Edit LilyPond" and then put  ".|:-||" after the \bar
instead of whatever you chose.

It would be good to include this in the list.
