Research Studentship  in the 
Department of Computer & Information Sciences
De Montfort University, Milton Keynes

The studentship will be in the Computer Graphics & Modelling 
Group which is currently undertaking research in :  computer 
animation (particularly figure animation), medical visualisation, 
biomechanics, virtual environments, robot teleoperation and 
fundamental graphics algorithms.  The Group has a strong 
international flavour and has been involved in 7 European projects in 
the last 3 years.

The studentship will support work that will be expected to lead to 
the award of PhD; this work will be in either 
- figure animation, avatars, etc.,  or
- medical visualisation
and will be supervised by Prof. Gordon Clapworthy, from whom 
further details can be obtained.  He will be very happy to discuss 
your application, informally, if you so wish.

Applicants should send a detailed cv to Prof. Clapworthy, by post 
or email.  Two references are also required - these should be sent 
by your referees to Prof. Clapworthy by post or fax, on headed 
notepaper.

Closing date is Wednesday 29th November.
