For years, I worked on Christmas afternoon. Also, I'm old enough so that

So, I always worked on my assignments when others were having the day or
evening off. In recent years, when the children come for Christmas, I
don't, because family get-togethers are rare.

I would work when the "Big Game" was on. The tortoises plod along,
predictably doing their part. They will lap the competition. It is a
three-way race: Hares that pay attention to the race, hares that don't,
