Hi

Had a quick 15 min chat with polly from youth services this morning, and
showed her the flyer i did based on the text on the dfey website.

One of the things she did say was that young people usually go to them
for things to do, so rather than reaching out directly if young people
get in touch with youth workers and show an interest in this, then they
can be given information on dfey.

While she is therefore happy to send details out to all torbay youth
workers, however she pointed out that the text is comes across as too
complex from a (novice point of view), as in to a non computer user it
just sounds technical, so what is needed is for it to be simplified. I
would guess the same would go for the website text.

Can we come up perhaps come up with something between us that is a
little more beginner friendly.

The hardest thing will is striking a balance, we are a technical group
so want to come across as that, but at the same time appeal to not so
technical users, without sounding patronising. I find it hard to write
in simple terms, simply as I have gone beyond that stage.

I think we have crossed a hurdle at least here, if we can sort out
wording etc, then we can at least get the word out.

Paul
