"Support nonfree software" is too vague to mean anything.

Lots of free programs "support" nonfree software in various ways.
With GCC, you can compile nonfree programs.
With Emacs, you can edit nonfree programs.
With GDB, you can debug nonfree programs.
On GNU/Linux, you can run nonfree programs.
None of those is a bad thing.

What is the concrete scenario you are thinking of?
