Hi,
you were right. Seems like the CVS server was overloaded or down when I tried
to access. Later on I got a conntection established. The CVS snapshot compiled
without problem.

I suggest you give the CVS HEAD another try. Lot's has changed since
we last cut a tarball. I guess that means it's time to cut another
release ;-)
