In using socket file descriptors, what is different about Bob's setup 
and mine? I'm trying to create a very basic example of writing a sin 
source over socket to display and end up getting "Bad file descriptor" 
errors and the thing connects and then dies with:

Connection:  <socket._socketobject object at 0xb601861c>
Address:  ('127.0.0.1', 32942)
gr_file_descriptor_sink: Bad file descriptor

The heart of the code is below, I specify -s to make it a server, else 
it's the client. I notice Bob is using bytes I'm using complex, could 
this be part of it? Is there a quick and dirty way to convert between 
the two (don't see a filter for this one)?
