1) What type of radio systems can be configured with gnuradio platform? For example: FM transmitter, AM transceiver, CDMA etc. In general, when talking about configuring software radios, what types of radio systems can be configured?

2) For each type of radio system to be configured, how can I find out what signal processing components/blocks should be present in the configuration. For example, to compose an FM transmitter you need software modules such as fm modulator and quadrature mixer.

3) I would like to classify signal processing blocks provided with the latest gnuradio package. For examples: mixers, modulators, correlators, framers etc. Roughly, there are about 144 signal processing block implementations available; 55 in gnuradio-core/src/lib/general, 68 in gnuradio-core/src/lib/filter, 21 in gnuradio-core/src/lib/io.

Thanks
