I'm imagining a Gnu Radio core that takes full advantage of the 
multi-core CPUs, *and* knows how to shuffle
 work off to Nvidia GPUs and the like.   I think FFTW already has a 
multi-thread variant, which would be
 a clear win for certain types of functions.  16Mhz baseband bandwidth, 
here we come :-)
