I just got back from travel.

I don't know why you don't have the FFT module.

When I run python on my system in interactive mode, I can:

Python 2.5 (r25:51908, Nov  6 2007, 16:54:01)
[GCC 4.1.2 20070925 (Red Hat 4.1.2-27)] on linux2
Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.
>>> import FFT

Which works just fine.

Do you have python-numeric installed?

You need package:

python-numeric-24.2-4.fc7

Installed on your system to get this package.
