Why not let us know what problems you are having with the build?  Last time I
checked, on systems with an *official* release of GCC on them, the build is as
simple as:

cd core
./configure
make install

On my system I don't see any build problems and I download and build the new
snapshot once or twice a week.

No need to be sorry, right now GNUstep is not currently ready for the
non-developer.   When more applications are developed for the end user it will
then become clear why GNUstep is a better choice in ease use of applications
written for the end user as well as ease of development for the developer.
