hi,

I am getting this:

dave@cat>openapp GWorkspace.app
Aug 23 08:02:25 GWorkspace[540] No font cache available - building new one -
this may take several seconds (or minutes on a slow machine with lots of fonts)
Aug 23 08:02:26 GWorkspace[540] Error - font cache doesn't exist

and then the app comes up and all the fonts look like courier which is ugly...

How can I fix this?

try running "font_cacher"
if it segfaults then I had/have you have problem too.

I solved that recompiling everything with GCC 3.0.
It worked well then (font_cacher crashed my xfs when reading
true type fonts, however).

It seems it is a bug in the objc runtime, fixed in GCC 3.0.
