Focus of Info window in WindowMaker

One inconsistency I notice when using GS apps in WindowMaker is that 
orderFrontStandardInfoPanel causes the Info window to appear, but the 
new window is not given the focus. This doesn't make too much of a 
difference, but the WindowMaker title bar is grayed out - the state of 
an unfocused window - and that's just slightly ugly. Is this a WM or 
gnustep-back problem?
