just trying to play nwith libart for the first time after all the good
comments on here. this in on FreeBSD 4.8-RELEASE and I have installed
libart 2.3.3 in /usr/local/lib. The files are:

-r--r--r--  1 root  wheel    175 Jun  8 16:32 /usr/local/lib/libartConf.sh
-rw-r--r--  1 root  wheel  96652 Jun  8 16:32 /usr/local/lib/libart_lgpl.a
-rwxr-xr-x  1 root  wheel    660 Jun  8 16:32 /usr/local/lib/libart_lgpl.la
lrwxr-xr-x  1 root  wheel     16 Jun  8 16:32 /usr/local/lib/libart_lgpl.so ->
libart_lgpl.so.5
-rwxr-xr-x  1 root  wheel  73186 Jun  8 16:32 /usr/local/lib/libart_lgpl.so.5

which looksO.K. to me. I also have freetype-1.3.1_2 and freetype2-2.1.3_1
installed as other applications need them.

I am configuring with:

CC=gcc32 ./configure --enable-graphics=art

and I get:

./configure: line 1: libart2-config: command not found
./configure: line 1: libart2-config: command not found
checking for main in -lart_lgpl_2... no
checking Backend Server... x11
checking Backend Graphics... art
configure: error: can't find libart, required for graphics=art!

any ideas ? I dont have a libart2-config file anywhere on
the system, and my liobraruies are not called art_lgpl_2,. but I am
loathe to rename them until Im understand what is supposed to be happening.

-bat.
