Demonstration of missing characters on end of string

Going bck to the converastions of a week or so ago - I have just noticed
something which reliably reproduces the "missing characters on the end of a
string" effect.

Just take a look at the enclosed gsmarkup file in GSMarkupBrowser - the 'p'
is missing off the end of 'Backend group' in the form. This is exactly the
sort of effect I see in several different places, all of which appear to
de dependent on the length of the string being displayed.
