You can only do that if they are on different hosts ... a name is unique on a host.
How could we cleanly get a list of these servers using broadcast ? or do you have any other methods to broadcast and list servers on the local network serving the same "service" ?
No ... there is no API for that. What you normally do is ask for a connection to a service, giving an asterisk as the host name , and you will get a connection
to one of the servers ... no guarantee of which one.
