Does that work just using --enable-graphics=art ? So far I have completely 
failed
to get the Windows port working, but I might have another bash if I
could use art...

No, art uses XWindowBuffer class in back-x11. You have to implement a similar class for win32.

BTW, if anyone want to see the code of cairo-back, I put a tar file here...

(well.. it is not so recent but you can rely on the structure)

Many thing is missing including font system because cairo doesn't have them implemented yet so I'll just put dummy classes around for the moment. Anyone is free to port nfont to it when
it's more usable...

PS. You can't just tar and compile those w/o editing makefile or configures... would be nice if someone can donate time writing configure stuffs for me since I'll never learn them...
